Villagers top Irish album charts
Congratulations to Conor O'Brien and his Villagers whose debut album Becoming A Jackal has gone straight to the top of the Irish album charts at the end of its first week on the shelves.
O'Brien, who is currently in the middle of an Irish tour, also featured on last week's number one album - Cathy Davey's The Nameless - making it a pretty good couple of weeks for Ireland Indie Inc.
Becoming A Jackal is released in the UK on Monday where it has already been garnering high praise. Keep an eye on Ragged Words next week for an interview with Villagers.
