Vampire Weekend to support Arcade Fire at not so bad a rip off Dublin dates
After a lot of understandable head scratching and angry tweeting over rumours that tickets for Arcade Fire's mooted Dublin dates would cost €73 (versus £30 in London), the band's management confirmed that ticket prices will be a slightly more palatable €50-60 (although you've still got your Ticketmaster fees on top of that) and that Vampire Weekend will support.
Vampire Weekend are playing their own UK shows on December 1 & 2 so unfortunately they won't be tagging along for the Canadian's London show(s).
Apparently there's one more "great act" to be added to the Dublin bill too.
"Dublin - We have added Vampire Weekend and have almost confirmed a third really great act to the bill. We want a great package," tweeted Scott Rodger, director of Arcade Fire's Quest Management team.
Tickets for the Dublin shows are not on sale yet (nor have they been officially confirmed). The following have though:
