New Boa Morte Album Out Next Month, Tour Dates Announced

Having quietly wowed all who heard it when it was released way back in 2002, Cork band Boa Morte’s debut album Soon It Will Come Time To Face The World Outside marked the emergence of a singular talent. So intimate you almost feel like you’re intruding just by listening in, it’s a record that still features regularly on the Ragged Words iPod.

So we’re thrilled to report that, following an extended hiatus, the band will release album number two, The Dial Waltz, on May 21st. Like its predecessor, The Dial Waltz was recorded by veteran American producer Daniel Presley (The Breeders, Spain). A trio of domestic live dates have also been announced to coincide with the album’s release. These are:

Saturday, May 1st @ Crane Lane Theatre, Cork
Saturday, May 22nd @ Róisín Dubh, Galway
Sunday, May 23rd @ Bewley’s Café Theatre, Dublin

We’re told that more dates are in the offing, so watch this space.
