Go! Team album due in Jan, hear new MP3

When Ragged Words bumped into Memphis Industries bosses Matt and Ollie Jacob a couple of weeks ago, they told us that the new Go! Team record sounded like nothing they’d ever heard before. Okay, so they would say that but ‘T.O.R.N.A.D.O.’ - the first track from the band’s third album that’s just been premiered on Pitchfork and available below - certainly bodes well for such bold talk.

The album, entitled Rolling Blackouts, will come out in the UK on January 31 (Jan. 28 in Ireland) and features vocals from Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof (whose new album is also out in Jan), Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and teenage Tampa rapper Dominique Young Unique as well as a 20-person brass band.
