Girls Names Offer Debut Album Details, Free MP3
Recipients of the YNFB seal of approval last year, Belfast's Girls Names will release their debut album, Dead To Me, on Monday April 25 via Tough Love Records, with Slumberland Records handing the LP a US release the following day.
Recorded during the second half of 2010 with new bassist Claire Miskimmin in toe, Tough Love say the trio’s songwriting has become more defined and the production values have been sharpened, meaning the ten track album will likely take up where ‘I Lose’, November’s split 7” with San Francisco’s Brilliant Colors, left off. The album's closing track ‘Séance On A Wet Afternoon’ - free to download below - would seem to suggest as much.

To hear what the new tunes sound like in the flesh, meanwhile, you can catch the noise-pop trio opening for British Sea Power in Dublin and Belfast later this week, as well as Sleigh Bells in Belfast on Saturday.
