In The Bag, We Were Promised Jetpacks: These Four Walls

What's it called? Our first album is going to be called 'These Four Walls.' It was one of our first suggestions and after trying to think of alternatives for ages we eventually gave up and happily agreed to call it that!

Where, when and with whom was it recorded? It was recorded by Jolyon Thomas in a converted Hop Kiln in Odiham, Hampshire in about a week starting from the end of November 2008. We had a really nice time recording music, eating pizza, playing music in the studio into the early hours of the morning and sleeping in the same room as each other. The majority of it was mixed by Peter Katis who has done albums with Frightened Rabbit, The Twilight Sad and The National. And a couple of the songs were mixed by Ken and Jolyon Thomas.

What can we expect? 10 full songs and a wee instrumental number that we decided was nice and was worth putting on. I think it might be a little less-dancey-hi-hats-and-spikey guitars than people would expect. We tried really hard to make a record that has some variation and depth. I really hope we can proud of it in 50 years time. In the interests of not wanting to disappoint I'll also say you can expect it to be really rubbish.

When's it due out? I think it is June 15th. But to be honest I only know that because I read it somewhere on the internet. It keeps changing! But lets go with June 15th.

When will it leak!? NEVAAAAAAAAAH! Unless Lackie's mum gives it to everyone we should be able to keep it under wraps. I'm not giving it to Frightened Rabbit that’s for sure. They keep accusing us of giving everyone an early copy of their last album. We are not going to give them the slightest opportunity for revenge! I honestly can't think of how or why it could be possibly leaked.
