In The Bag: George Washington Brown - EP

What's it called?

imaginatively, it's been titled "EP". Catbird (the label putting it out) have a semi- tradition of eponymous titles, so i simply followed the rules.

Where, when and with whom was it recorded?

Where- at my own studio, Wang Computers, God's Own Country.

When- over the past couple of years. I tend to let songs stew - some were started so long ago I can't remember how to play them. All had parts added up to the last minute. I like to get to the point where it's almost like making a cover version of your own material.

Whom- me, myself and I doing everything (though the mastering was done by David from Field Music). I'm kinda getting sick of being alone - having produced a few bands now, I miss the social interaction that you get in a group. The next release may be very different...

What can we expect?

More slack heartbreak. Plus size polyrhythms, heartwarming harmonies, non cool cool.

When's it due out?

When the artwork's done. it shouldn't be too crazy to say the summer? Keep checking www.catbirdrecords.com for info!!

When will it leak!?

The label are officially leaking it themselves! Aside from the physical release (CD), and it being on Itunes etc, Catbird are making it available to download, for absolute sweet F.A.

The industry is in such a weird state at the minute, it's pointless trying to fight it. It's better to control it, and have a decent quality leak out there, rather than a shitty 80k mono rip from LastFm or something.

Overall, I'm just glad it's out there...
