Vivian Girl Katy Goodman brought her side project La Sera to the UK for a couple of gigs last week, finishing off with a show at London's Lexington to promote the release of her new trio's self-titled debut album. While Ragged Words took a trip to DIY bass heaven thanks to Goodman & co, we were equally charmed by the strummed guitars and warbling vocals of Dan Michaelson and his Coastguards, who played some impressive opening cuts from new album Shakes.
