It had been quite a while since The Decemberists last payed a visit to Dublin - Colin Meloy and co. cancelled a trip here back in October 2007 - so it was no surprise that a rammed and appreciative crowd awaited them at Vicar Street last weekend. And despite some of the band being up 'til all hours the night before joining in a trad session and visiting the local kebab houses, the Portland crew put in a pretty decent and comprehensive performance.
