1. The Avalanches - Since I Left You

Just a perfect "album". It brings you on a real journey and has every emotion under the sun on it. 

2. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am..

One of the most important records of the decade for me. As far as I'm concerned Alex Turner is the finest lyricist of the decade and this is his finest hour. 

3. The Streets - Original Pirate Material

Was so unbelievable fresh when it first came out and led the way for tons of other acts to follow. Describes british youth culture brilliantly. 

4. Arcade Fire - Funeral

Pretty flawless. Just really well written songs. 

5. The Strokes - Is This It/Room On Fire

I prefer "Room On Fire" as a full album but the impact and importance of "Is This It" is undeniable. 

6. Edan - Beauty And The Beat

Personally I think that this is the overall best put together hip hop album of the decade. Brillantly pieced together and is a real piece of art. 

7. Bjork - Vespertine

Beautiful, creative and forward thinking. A genius in her own time. 

8. Daft Punk - Discovery

Easily one of the most influential albums of the decade. It may just seem like a bit of silly fun but its the cleverest bit of fun produced all decade.Who hasn't danced to this record? 

9. Kings Of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak

Unfortunately I hate what they have become but my god this record kicks ass. Just great rock 'n roll. 

10. Klaxons - Myths Of The Near Future

I know - call me insane but besides the Arctic Monkeys debut there is no album that I have listened to more all decade. Comes across as fairly throwaway and disposable but it's an awful lot cleverer than that.Perfect edgy pop songs with lots of clever structures, beautiful harmonies and killer riffs.In a few years time this record will be looked on as a hugely influencial album.
