The Expert's (MJEX) albums of the decade
Just a perfect "album". It brings you on a real journey and has every emotion under the sun on it.
One of the most important records of the decade for me. As far as I'm concerned Alex Turner is the finest lyricist of the decade and this is his finest hour.
Was so unbelievable fresh when it first came out and led the way for tons of other acts to follow. Describes british youth culture brilliantly.
Pretty flawless. Just really well written songs.
I prefer "Room On Fire" as a full album but the impact and importance of "Is This It" is undeniable.
Personally I think that this is the overall best put together hip hop album of the decade. Brillantly pieced together and is a real piece of art.
Beautiful, creative and forward thinking. A genius in her own time.
Easily one of the most influential albums of the decade. It may just seem like a bit of silly fun but its the cleverest bit of fun produced all decade.Who hasn't danced to this record?
Unfortunately I hate what they have become but my god this record kicks ass. Just great rock 'n roll.
I know - call me insane but besides the Arctic Monkeys debut there is no album that I have listened to more all decade. Comes across as fairly throwaway and disposable but it's an awful lot cleverer than that.Perfect edgy pop songs with lots of clever structures, beautiful harmonies and killer riffs. In a few years time this record will be looked on as a hugely influencial album.
