Older than Leon Jackson but younger than Leona Lewis was how Glasgow scamps We Were Promised Jetpacks described themselves as they put the finishing touches to a debut album and four university degrees in 2009. WWPJ combine the power of fellow Scots Biffy Clyro with the passion of touring/label/just plain old mates Frightened Rabbit, a sound the latter's Scott Hutchison summed up neatly by saying: "It's as if the Smiths started having fun at night instead of doing all that crying and worrying." Debut These Four Walls did just that in mid '09.

What's it called? Our first album is going to be called 'These Four Walls.' It was one of our first suggestions and after trying to think of alternatives for ages we eventually gave up and happily agreed to call it that!
