Sunset Rubdown

Beginning in 2005 as the solo project of Wolf Parade's Spencer Krug (who has also spent time helping out fellow Canadians Frog Eyes), Sunset Rubdown has developed into a four piece and pretty much a full time project over the course of five years and four albums. While the first SR album Snake's Got A Leg was all Krug, Camilla Wynne Ingr (Pony Up!), Jordan Robson-Cramer (XY Lover, Miracle Fortress and Magic Weapon), and Michael Doerksen (Deep Sleepover) joined in for 2006's critically wowing Shut Up I Am Dreaming and the similarly well received Random Spirit Lover a year later. Dragonslayer, like the previous album released on Jagjaguwar, followed in 2009.
