Speech Debelle
As a young female London hip hop artist bursting with lyrical awareness, comparisons with Ms. Dynamite were going to be hard to avoid but not many, bar perhaps Speech Debelle herself, thought the 23-year-old South Londoner would actually go on and match Ms. D's Mercury Prize winning success. However the folky, heartfelt brand of hip hop on debut Speech Therapy should a similar 'where are they now' in a few years time.
