Surely the most famous sons and daughter from the Scottish towns of Greenock and Gourock, swelling five-piece My Latest Novel released their debut single Sister Sneaker Sister Soul in 2005 and followed it up with the warmly received full debut Wolves - released in the UK on Bella Union and on The Worker's Institute in the US - a year later. Following tours with Smog, Low, British Sea Power and an opening home-country slot for The Pixies, the band spent three years on their second LP Deaths and Entrances, released in May 2009
