Part electrobilly, part bluegrass, part shabby punk and (kudos to The Guardian for this one), part good old cockney knees-up, there's a lot going on behind and all around The Mules' front of stage, singing drummer Ed Seed. The five-piece's genre hopping was well and truly crammed into 2006's debut Save Your Face and although we still await a follow-up, the band's curated collection 'Pick Your Own' - featuring Left With Pictures, Jonquil, Johnny Flynn and Eugene McGuiness - is well worth checking out in the meantime.
