Memory Tapes
Indie rock foursome Hail Social were too traditional for singer and guitarist Dayve Hawk and he quickly decided to swap tours with Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party for bedroom electronic compositions under the various titles of Weird Tapes, Memory Cassette and Memory Tapes. The latter title stuck and in late 2009, Hawk received critical praise a plenty from his full debut Seek Magic.
