Loney Dear

The pseudonym of Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emil Svanängen, Loney Dear self-released released a number of albums - namely The Year of River Fontana, Citadel Band, Loney Noir and Sologne - in his native Sweden before album number three Loney, Noir was picked up by Sub Pop in the US and EMI in the UK and given a wider release in 2007. Extensive touring followed before album number five Dear John was released in early 2009, this time on Polyvinyl in the States.
