Jónsi & Alex is a collaboration - both in art and music - between Sigur Ros front man Jón Þór Birgisson and his boyfriend Alex Somers of Parachutes. The couple released their debut album Riceboy Sleeps in July 2009, the same title as a picture book they ran limited editions of three years earlier and would later exhibit outside Iceland. Still using the Riceboy Sleeps moniker, they also contributed ’Happiness’ to the Dark Was The Night compilation in early 2009.
