Disheveled looking, American new wave four-piece Hockey - slowly becoming one of the buzz bands of 2009 - formed a couple of years earlier in Portland, Oregon. Sounding like LCD Soundsystem mixed with Jack Penate (with an American accent and better), the band self-released their debut Mind Chaos in 2008 before being quickly snapped up by EMI who gave it a wider release date in September 2009.
