Gang Of Four

In the late 60's The Gang of Four effectively controlled the Communist Party of China. In the late 70's and early 80's a Leeds band of the same name effectively controlled the post punk landscape of England. Their debut, Entertainment, was and remains a classic while its immediate successors Solid Gold and Songs Of The Free weren't too bad either. The band broke up in 1984 and again, after a brief revival, 1995 before reforming as a live band a decade later when their influence was apparent among their then new piers.
