The Decemberists

Fronted by the highly accomplished songwriting acumen of Colin Meloy, The Decemberists were formed in 2000 when Meloy left his band Tarkio in Montana and moved to Portland, Oregon. Breakthrough arrived two albums later with the divine Picaresque, prompting the band to trouble the Billboard top 20 two albums later again with 2009’s Hazards Of Love.
